The unlocked, cloud white Motorola Nexus 6 XT1103 32GB Smartphone improves on its predecessor, the Nexus 5, with a bigger 5.96" AMOLED display and a beyond HD 2560 x 1440 native resolution. The panel is a 16:9 aspect ratio that allows playback of HD content without letterboxing or distorting the image. The display is also a capacitive touchscreen with full support for the multi-touch gestures incorporated into the Android 5 Lollipop operating system. The screen is also made with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for high scratch resistance and screen durability.
The Nexus 6 is powered by a quad-core 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. The micro-USB port allows you to charge as well as transfer data quickly from your computer to phone and vice versa. The micro-USB port also supports SlimPort. SlimPort uses a single cable to deliver high-definition video and audio from the phone to a wide range of HDMI-equipped external displays, including projectors, PC monitors, and HDTVs. In order to take advantage of SlimPort, you'll have to purchase a SlimPort adapter (sold separately).
Bluetooth 4.1 LE is on-board for pairing with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as wireless headsets. Wi-Fi is also integrated for high-speed Internet connectivity without eating into your data plan. Built-in NFC allows you to instantly connect to other NFC-enabled devices for content sharing, simply by tapping the two devices together. GPS is also on-board for using Google Location and Maps services. Additionally, the Nexus 6 has an integrated 3220mAh battery that can be charged via USB, or wirelessly using a Qi charger (sold separately).
The Nexus 6 comes with Google's Android 5 Lollipop operating system. Lollipop provides improved features to Android, including 64-bit processing performance. For enhanced security, the OS integrates SELinux which helps regulate privileges allowed to apps, meaning even if malware gets installed the chances of it working are greatly reduced. Don't have your phone? Device Sharing means you can access contacts, messages, photos, and more by logging into your account on a friend's Lollipop-powered device. You can also create guest account on your own device so that others can use it without being able to see your private data.
