The f/1.8 adaptation of Nikon's 50mm has existed in three cycles subsequent to the mid-eighties, and a few more in manual center structure since it was initially created in 1978.
The 50mm f/1.8 AF-D was intended for film, making it good with both DX-and FX-position advanced camera bodies. On an APS-C measured sensor body the lens gives a successful field of perspective of 75mm.
